OUR VAULTING WORLD CHAMPS ADVENTURE
Competing overseas is a huge undertaking for everyone involved. Due to the travel and costs involved, it cannot be accomplished very often. Check out our interview with Newshub Late, about our exciting World Champs plan.
2014 WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES: 9th PLACE
In 2014, the Kapiti Vaulting Club took a team to the World Equestrian Games in France where they placed 9th in the world: a huge accomplishment! New Zealand had never been represented in the World Games before. We are immensely proud of all the hard work by all involved: coaches, vaulters, managers, overseas hosts, supporters, donors, and parents backing their kids all the way. It literally takes a village to get this done.
THE 2019 NEW ZEALAND VAULTING TEAM
Read more about the team here.
Thanks to major sponsor Mills Albert Ltd, continuing support from Dunstan Horse Feeds and The Achievement Room, and all the other supporters for helping us along the way.
Unfortunately we can’t take our horses to Europe, so we have to spend about 6 weeks in Germany to train with a new horse and build that trust to perform our moves safely.
The long trip, together with uniform and training expenses, will cost the team $150K, for which we have been madly fundraising since August 2018!
Thanks to your support, our team can reach for the stars again and ensure New Zealand’s continuing place on the world vaulting stage.
